There is a speed sensor for the hydraulic system located in the hydraulic pump. This tells the hydraulic pump controller how fast the engine is running it was a comin thing to see these go bad. If the controller does not see the engine running then it will not tell the pumps to increase flow. You can only test them though with Deere laptop or the Hitachi Palm pilot software/Dr. Zx

Well Ill tell you what has happened with it so far. We had it on a job and we and was loading trucks and started hearing a noise in the pump. So I called john deere to come take a look because I didnt want to tear the machine up so by the time they got there we had already shut down and it had cooled off and of course the machine acted fine when they got there and he didnt find nothing wrong. Next day start loading trucks about an hr in it starts making the noise again so called them back out and mechanic thinks its the pump tells me that i could buy a rebuilt pump for 9k and he could get on it so i agreed as i was in a bind for the machine to be running. next day he pulls pump off takes mine to rebuilt pump place gets new one leaves mine for core. goes and installs new one and finds out they didnt have right size pilot pump on rebuilt pump in the mean time he calls rebuild place and tells them scenario and they say they dont have right size so they test mine on old one and says its fine so he takes back off and the install mine in new pump. next day he installed on machine and cranked up set levels on laptop and said we were ready to work and since it took him longer i had to rent a machine so it set a few days after he finished. So we put it back on the line after we loaded few trucks it did the same thing noise in pump. So i called the back out to check and they didnt find nothing so they send another mechanic and he couldnt find nothing and they said just run it a little and the promblem just got worse and eventually now just feels gutless and use to be a great machine. After having them out 5 times and still no answer and them charging me 850 per trip to look at it I gave up and just took to the yard and parked it. 2 months later i took to another mechanic and he said he thought he could fix it so i gave it another try and he thought it was cavitation so he changed all lines from tank to pump still the same just another 2000 in the hole. So took back to yard and its been five months and she is still down i use it to load sand here and there but its so slow on the hydraulics that i have to lift up then swing u cant do all in one motion or cycle because it has hardly and hydraulic power when you do 2 functions at once. So I've spent about 14k and still got same problem cant find the cure so Im hoping one of you smart guys can help me yall are very intelligent and any help would be appreciated
