Working on a JD 27D with sticking pedals. I'm assuming the return springs are seized because cab was buried in mud. Lubricating them has done nothing. I am really confused by how to remove the level assembly from the shaft. Manual says there's a spring pin and a screw, but can't unscrew anything and can't drive pin out. Does anyone have an experience with these?
You might be better off removing the entire assembly and working with it on a workbench with a vise. Drive out the smaller roll pin first, then the larger one.
