Hi All, We've got an old 302A John Deere with the Backhoe attachment. It's the 9250-A Backhoe attachment with the dual swing cylinders. We've had a major blow out on the left side cylinder and need to rebuild. We're trying to get it off and on both the top and bottom there is a plate with two bolts that we have removed to access a threaded insert. It looks like there is some kind of threaded sleeve that needs a puller to remove. Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone give me some direction? Thanks, Eric.
Is it possible to leave the cylinders installed and pull the guts out of them?
That was our original hope, but unfortunately we can't get the nut off. We've even tried a 4 foot Pipe wrench with a pipe on the end for leverage. It just won't budge.
