Hey guys, we have a fairly new John Deere 444k at my work and after working all summer with the bucket on winter is now sneaking up rather quickly and we are attaching all the plow blades however the quick connect pins will not release. We have been shaking, banging and rattling the bucket around for a week now with no results. We tried oiling, heating and smashing them with sledge hammers. The next step will be to attach a porta power to the lines and try to force it open that way. Just wondering if anyone has run into this before and what you did to fix it, any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!
I have no experience with that unit but I would start looking at the beginning. Does the switch work? Maybe a blown fuse?My J model has electrical self diagnostics via the "flex load controller". I bet the K has this too. If the electric checks out I would then make sure the solenoid valve is working. If the 344 is similar to my 544 you will find this on the valve body located on top of the front axle (front access hatch is on the front of the loader frame).
Sorry, forgot to add that everything checked ok. The switch is showing ok the solenoid seems to be working but it does seem to be tripping the relief and dumping the oil back to the tank.
Has it ever worked? Which coupler model is it? JRB, Deere Worksite Pro (really no different) or......?
It's a Deere quick connect and yes it has work before but hasn't been used since last winter. We were able to get the roll pins out today and take the cylinder out then cut the pins to remove the bucket. After heating/cooling and smashing the remaining bits of the pins all day they still never moved so we just burnt them out. Tomorrow we will installing new pins on the cylinders and most definitely be using countless amounts of never seize.
