Working on a new purchased, old 1984 dozer...... was setting for years,,, new fuel in it and just got running......burning black smoke excessively.....suspect the turbo......Looking for a turbo kit or rebuilt turbo for 1984 john Deere dozer 850 with six cylinder 619 cubic inch engine, the john deere cataloge part TURBO number listed is AR74456, or remanufactured number of AR78444 OR AR73469 may have to rebuild to see if helps and go thru the injector Anybody do a rebuild?
Been sitting for years, check the air filter first then get as much of the old fuel out and fresh in, may just clear up before you end up spending money for a turbo you do not need.
