John Deere 850c f439 code

   Need the machine's serial number. They used different engines and many different schematics over the life of that model. A general search shows the F439 is a speed sensor code.

   Deere generally stamped the last six digits of the serial # into the frame where the serial plate would have been.

   F439 is an error with the primary speed sensor, which in your case, will be inside the injection pump. To confirm that, take a picture of your injection pump from far enough away for me to see the timing gear cover in the same picture and post it.
