G'day I've just noticed my left hand joysticks valves are leaking. So can these be resealed or is it a new item all together? Machine is a sk120 mark v super got just over 8000 hrs Cheers
Good day Sir Our experience is that you can renew the seals most remote valves today have an aluminium body and steel spools many are produced by K.P.M. The dealer should be able to supply the parts, we suggest you remove any residual pressure & plug ports "P" & "T" while you make repair, this will save an awful mess in the cabin. Kind regards Uffex
mate also i think if you hunt though the forums you will fine another bloke already did it and posted doing it if i rememeber correctly.
My joysticks all have "O" rings and maintenance manual gives procedure on resealing. Check with dealer/"O" supplier for parts. Looks like a good job for when you have to whole shop to yourself and none to bother . Drove from ATC to Wagga Wagga on way to Melbourne in 70's (had to eat all our fruit before crossing Vic/NSW border) GREAT TRIP.
I just fixed mine today. 2 out of 4 positions were leaking, I bought a seal kit and 2 of the brass plugs and replaced them. It was pretty obvious where the leak was coming from.
