Good day lads, I have a John Deere 180g 2013 with a Jrb 200 quick coupler on the machine havnt put too many hours on it myself maybe like 25. When I bought it the machine coupler was kinda slow to close up. Now today the hitch won’t close at all. Any ideas what that could be ?
If you have any flow controller junctions on the hydraulic line to the coupler, check to ensure that they are allowing flow to the coupler. Also check the power going to the coupler control unit (assuming that you have one in the cab), and verify that you have the correct power to the solenoid switch, correct power to the solenoid, and that the solenoid is activating. It could be as simple as an electric switch that is nearing the end of it's service life. One check that you can try is to loosen the hydraulic fitting on the closing ram in the coupler, and activate the coupler closing control. If hydraulic fluid comes out under pressure, the fault is likely in the coupler itself. If you see no fluid or only a few drops, suspect the electric solenoid remote (unless a valve is closed on your hydraulic line).
