We have a Cat 980M that quite pulling...it happens under load..not under load but after tapping on the f-N-R switch it will engage...the switch was rebuilt today but after 45 mins it disengaged....any thoughts would be appreciated
It is a 980G
Im wonderin if there is Sensors or relays that could cause the tranny to disengage..but seems to be related to the FNR since tapping on it will engage the tranny eventually.
I would suspect this is an issue
I would look closely at the wires to the switch. this sounds like a broken wire that connects when you tap the switch.
The mechanic supposedly replaced the cable...my son runs this loader so im gettin my info from him...we both run loader at APAC Asphat in Okla...he did mention this started after the parking brake was worked on.
You probably need a wiring diagram at this point. If the problem started after work was done on the parking brake, my thought would be to look at a diagram to see if there is an interlock that does not let the transmission work if the parking brake is set. Maybe the parking brake switch needs adjustment? Cam
I think youre correct....its related to the parking brake
And to supply said item needs a machine Serial Number...........
Hello Nige...i have the serial # will post
