Our Kawasaki 80z is on 7400 hours about 6 years old. It would not move and the hydraulics wouldn't act. Shows parking brake light on position. Anyone with similar experience?
An educated guess would say that the flexplate connecting the engine & transmission has broken. Look for metal debris in the bellhousing.
Hi, the Kawasaki agents here, ELB were playing the guessing game between Hand brake switch, hydraulic pump then Transmission. Finally we found a Mechanic who knows his way around and pointed out fly wheel bolts which we also thought it would be after ALRMANs reply. Loader is back to work. Our operator was sick and the back up operator must have jerked the machine forward to reverse. [ Thank you ALRMAN for your advice.
Cheers! Those bolts look like they may have been loose for a while, due to the condition of the of those holes...... I think they probably would have eventually broken regardless of the operator - going forward & reverse quickly would not have made a difference to it.
