Hello I have tryed a search but havent found anything on this so i have to ask. I have a newer Kobelco sk50sr-3 and the right hand drive motor is weak and slower going forward and it is slightly slower in reverse I have cleaned all filters and changed the ones in the tank. problem still persits. There is no relief valves on the valve body for the right track. It has had this problem since it got about 1000hrs on it. I have tryed the obvious like cleaning under the sticks used to move it forward. any help is greatly appreciated.
First things first. Have you owned the machine since it was new? We need to establish whether the drives are the original drives and are identical spec.
Also have you done a case drain test on the slow drive to see if it is the motor that is week or the slew joint seals?
We have had the machine since new, at about 1000hr this started to develope some days the problem is worse then others but always when traveling forward, and slightly in reverse right side slower, I have drained the finals and changed the oils on them like stated in the manual and probly little sooner, there is no leakage to the outside of the slew join but not sure how to check the inside. Kobelco dealer we bought it from said most likley not the slew joint never had small one fail, but that's them standing behind thier product, we are about 4 hrs away from the nearest dealer so bringing thier mechanic is the last option. I will probly pull the bypass valve's out of motor and check it today and the what i beleive is the shifter valve on the motor and see if anything looks bad there. Thank you guy for any help and i will post if i find anything.
get a gauge and check the pressure in both sides also foward & reverse the other thing the bolt could have backed out on the end of the spool for the travel on that side but i would check the pressure first
It's not under warranty? 1000 hours?
No warranty, It started acting up after waranty expired right after 1000hrs now at 2000+hrs there is no warranty left.
hi, if you have not figured this out yet i can take a look at your problem, the hydr schematics, etc... however i require your ser# to confirm PJ0#-##### the kobelco compacts have gone through more tier changes than the larger full size exc e-mail to - [email protected] cheers! adam.
