I have a kobelco excavator sk 150 ymu 2043 1999. the boom does not boom up fast. i was told that it was a solenoid that was not telling the computer to cut the 2nd pump on. just trying to get a second opinion and if anyone knows were the solenoid maybe located. thanks in advance

hi, there is no solenoid, the boom up primary hyd pump is p1. p2 confluxes in to aid and provide the extra speed. i suggest you install 6,000 psi hyd prs gauges on both main hyd pumps. see which hyd pump is turning on. the remote pilot lines shift boom spool as well as shifts the p2 neutral cut spool and the boom conflux spool to add p2. it is possible that independent travel is partially shifted on which will make the upper only single pump - p1 and p2 will run the travels. also could be a bad port relief on boom raise. you need to install hyd prs gauges in order to figure this out otherwise we are guessing. i ask that you e-mail me at " [email protected] " it would help if you had schematics to view circuits. adam
