I have a late 90’s Kobelco SK200LC Mark IV Serial # YQU4170 and when I use the auto idle and it drops rpm down to idle level sometimes it won’t rev back up. Most of the time I would just shut it off and turn it back on and it would work again. The last time I tried it it wouldn’t rev back up at all even with auto idle off and adjusting the throttle with the knob. Also flashes low oil pressure 5psi and seems to idle pretty low but most of the time it would correct itself and idle up a little bit and the low oil pressure will go away. Is there any way to increase the idle when it decels using auto idle? Thank you in advanced.
there is a fuel pump adjustment procedure but it sounds like you might have a pressure sensor not working on the hydraulics will your travel bring it out of idle
No the travel also doesn’t make it come out of idle. I did some research and saw that the pressure reliefs might not be set right? Just not sure how to adjust them on this machine.
pressure relief settings should not affect your auto idle or your throttle. it's possible you have a failing stepper motor or controller. does the monitor still function in your machine, if so is it showing any errors
Yes the monitor works but it doesn’t show any errors. I ended up messing with the throttle stepper you are talking about and adjusted the idle and has seemed to help.
it probably needs an A adjustment run on the stepper motor after an idle adjustment. does it have the Cummins or Mitsubishi.
Idle Speed Adjustment: First, check if there's an idle speed adjustment screw or knob on the engine. Consult your operator's manual or a service manual to locate it. Adjusting this can increase the idle speed. Throttle Cable Inspection: Inspect the throttle cable for any damage or slack. If the cable is loose or damaged, it might not respond properly to throttle adjustments. Idle Control Valve: Your excavator may have an idle control valve that adjusts idle speed. Check if this valve is functioning correctly, and if it's adjustable, adjust it as needed. Low Oil Pressure: The low oil pressure warning could be due to a genuine oil pressure issue. Ensure the engine oil level is correct and the oil is clean. If the problem persists, have a professional check the oil pressure sensor and engine oil pump. Auto Idle System: If your machine's auto idle system is causing issues, consult the operator's manual or a technician to see if there are any settings or adjustments available to modify its behavior. Professional Inspection: If you can't resolve the issue through these steps, it's best to have a qualified technician inspect the excavator's engine control system and idle mechanisms thoroughly to diagnose and repair the problem accurately.
It’s has the Cummins
