The machine does not throtle up as soon as you start to move the joystick for a function. If you wait a few seconds it will throtle up and work fine. if you try to lift or dig it will stahl. Preasures are in specs for the two main pumps . The Pilot pump is a little low about 650 psi, would that cause this? The govener motor was changed could that be it. Anybody have seen anything like this? Thank You, Mike 138.
If the throttle motor was changed it will need to be calibrated by carrying out an A- adjustment. What is you idle rpm reading at the moment. Also you can ajust your pilot pressure by turning in the relief valve on your pilot pump. Max pilot pump pressure is 725psi at high idle
Kebelco Ireland, l tried to do the A adjustment to the computer and every time I would make it to step 4 to comment it to memory is would show an error code just before it finished. It would go through all the speeds from idle to full throttle. I must have tried it more than 6 times. The govenor motor is a replacement not a OEM Kobelco part. Could it be that the software needs to be updated. When I go thought the diagnostic it says that the computer is ok. Any other ideas. Thank you, Mike 138.
Hi Mike, retry it again and this time watch the throttle linkage as it nears full rpm,if the lever arm on injection pump hits the max rpm bolt it will cause the test to fail(condition error) is what will appear on the screen. If you need to adjust the bolt one turn at a time till it completes the a-adjustment.
Thank You,Ireland. The throttle after adjusting the high RPM limit screw got it to 2200 RPM i was able to save it to memory on the computer. The machine is work much better. some of the finctions the RPM is a little slow coming up to full RPM. Is there any sensitivity adjustments for the functions? Thank you again you have been a great help with this, Mike 138.
Glad to help. What functions are slow to respond. If only some functions are slow to increase rpm you might have a faulty sensor or solenoid somewhere.
I checked the machine today. I was waiting for a new top radiator hose from the dealer, it took a week and a half to get it. Running the machine today the engine bogs down and wants to stahl when i try to lower the boom and when i extend the dipper. With the tachometer on the dash shows full 2200 rpms but the engine will stahl if i try to put the boom down or the stick out. The engine is putting some black smoke when the rpms go down. Travel and swing seams fine. Stick in is fine bucket dump and curl are working fine. If i bring the stick in and reverse the stick out it seams to work fine. The boom does the same thing. The next thing i wanted to check is the boost from the turbo. I changed the Hydrulic oil and filters today also. You had mentions the last thread that it might be solenoid , i changed the in on the pump. you also said about it could be a relay? This machine is kicking my but.
I think it might be clogged with some path (as a orifice ==> pilot pressure increase slowly to act SE23) inside block 12 (multi selector valve) or block 16 (assy solenoid valve). You can check by swap the pilot lines.
" the engine bogs down and wants to stall when i try to lower the boom". I think the "LOCK VALVE SELECTOR SPOOL" inside " BOOM lock valve" has been clogged!!
