Kobelco SK300LC Hydraulic filter warning

Kobelco SK300LC Mark IV excavator After self checks are completed it reverts to Code 21 Hydraulic filter warning; I went to the sensor, at least I think that is the one, the upper sensor, with two wires, above and behind the pilot plumbing at the rear of hydraulic tank. Some previous owner had simply crossed those two wires and so I reconnected them to see what would happen. After self check, the battery voltage warning, engine coolant, and oil supply warnings, and a beeper, rotate across the screen, with sensor plugged in. Does that make sense? Do you feel a bad sensor could cause all these other codes? Does anyone have any troubleshooting / description and operation / wiring diagrams / even a complete PDF shop manual? I should add that the machine operates perfectly normal, no pump noises , we swapped out the two in tank filters and the pilot screen filter. Will be eternally grateful , if you wish to contact me directly, go for it. :beatsme

This machine has a hyd oil level switch, not filter restriction. If your working on the level switch it has a green wire with a yellow stripe and a black wire. Do not twist them together and temperarly do not reconect them. Does the other problems go away? Check bat voltage you should have 28V with engine running. Is there a number 23 with that oil supply warning? rock your buzzer stop button forward two times with engine running that will turn that off. That is a oil change warning. The water level switch is mounted at the overflow bottle in front of the rad, disconnect it. If the water level stays on the yellow with blue wire is shorted to ground.

hi, if you e-mail me at [email protected] i'll get you some tech info to help you in solving. normally when the fault codes cycle thru without a problem ends up you are either not charging to 27-28 volts or you have bad batteries or connections. these fault codes work on certain voltages to trigger them to display and/or alarm. cheers! adam

hi again, yes some later models have a sensor for hyd filter back pressure restriction. we normally find them unplugged and not connected. it may have been something the factory was playing with before the dynamic acera mark 6 models. include in your e-mail the serial number YCU-#### and the engine type. mitsubishi or cummins diesel engine. cheers!
