We have recently purchased a 2023 kobelco sk45srx-7 and have issues with inconsistent swing speed while booming up. If your booming up with a full bucket and start to swing as if loading a truck the swing seems very hesitated then you get a speed change in the swing when you stop booming. As a test, if you put the boom all the way up, start swinging at a steady pace and pull the boom up lever the swing takes off at a much faster speed. Its like the boom pressure is also feeding the swing motor. The local kobelco service technician tells me this is normal. Just after others thoughts and has anyone else ever come across this.
Good day According to my schematic you have a bank of three solenoid valves, one has the possibility to reduce the slewing speed by restriction. You could disconnect and try to see if this is the issue. Kind regards Uffex
It would be nice if the dealer had the same model similar options as yours to compare the two. Then they could be accountable to honor any warranty if you see a difference
Yes I have tried a couple of local ones and they don't do it. So its clearly an issue with this machine. Pump 3 which is the slew pump will also top up pump 1 and 2 if required. But it seems as pump 1 and 2 is boosting pump 3 making the slew speed up
Sounds like something in the loadsensing shuttle that’s allowing that pump to stroke up higher than it needs to. getting too much signal from another function (boom) to the slewing pump compensator. If the pump has electric displacement control, then it could be a faulty pressure sensor giving the pump control or false information. Probably Going to need schematic and system operations to narrow it down
Warranty for sure!
