Komatsu D65e won’t roll.

I have a D65-e 6 that wont roll. The fluid levels are good and it was ok to roll onto the ramps for repair (rad hose) but now she won't move at all. I do have a problem with air in the steering clutch lines (i have to bleed them each time i use it ) but this has never happened before. Any ideas?

Will not roll???? Like the brakes are locked? Is the park brake off? I had a neighbor that locked his brakes by accident then called me over to find his issue. It was an easy fix. Air in the steering likes must be coming from a leak in the suction line somewhere. Check the suction strainer and all of the piping. They are all o-ring flange fittings if I remember right. Good luck. Twisted

Air in the steering system does not stop it moving forwards-backwards, you might need to pop up the floor plates and fistly inspect the screen filter under the lid with 3 bolts in it, then undo the air purge plug in the top of the steering filter lid, the going backwards and forwards (Roll?) is the same thing, check the screen and undo the air vent plug in the transmission filter lid, if nothing looking like oil fails to ease out of the vent plugs with the engine running your pumps are knackered, the 1 nearest the front is the steer pump, the 1 nearest your foot is the trans' pump, mashed up brake band can block the screens doing in the pumps, often the brake bands fail due to 1,the park peddle lock left on by poor driver, or 2 lack of correct adjustment by poor mechanic, the oil level plug for the steering case is at the back by the drawbar hitch bolts 3/4" drive socket bar might be needed. tctractors

Got her going... Thanks for all the info. She is rolling now, it turned out that the speed shifter was out of whack. it was shifting, and there were definite clicks as it went from gear to gear, but it didnt go into any gear at all i guess. The arm had slid down so the key was out of the groove I guess. At any rate, I took it off when i was checking the strainer and noticed it was out of whack, put it back in and away i went. I am still having to bleed the damn steering clutch oil though. The fluid is foamy but i think that is air, not moisture. I must be sucking up a lot or air at any rate. Thanks again for the reponse.

Well that would be the kind of thing i would do, but no. turned out to be the shifter out of sync. It was moving the shift arm, but it wasnt actually going into any gear. Got the lever and arm back together right and now she rolls. As for the air leak, well i am gonna have to get back to you on that one. the strainer o ring seems good, but i will have to check the rest. I am hoping to just put up with it until this last job is done then i can look at it when the weather changes. Too much rain these days to get excited about dropping that skid plate again.
