Picked up an old hoe for scrap value that I had used in the past and it was a good machine but had sat for about three years. Got it fired up no problem and tracked it about 20 feet and all hydraulics stopped working. travel motors, swing, boom, everything. If you turn it off and restart you will have full hydraulic function for about 20 seconds until it stops again so I assume its a switch or a sensor somewhere. Does anyone have an idea as to where to start? Fluids are in range, although they need changed. Thanks,

There are no electrical issues that will completely stop the hydraulics from working. There is a manual pilot valve hooked to the left console that locks out hydraulic operation Do you know where the computers are and how to read the diodes? Do the hydraulics make any unusual noise or is there a loud buzzing coming form the pumps when you start the machine?

Computer is behind the seat correct? Pumps were making a buzzing type noise

This machine does not have a dead man on the left console. Is that pilot valve still there?

There are two computers in right side behind the seat. There should be lever on the left console.

Thanks john. I'll go over this afternoon I the weather holds and see what the LEDs are. What was the pump buzzing comment referring to? Thank you matt

Here is a video showing what they might look like. If your machine is gray market it might not have the two mirrors and only have one and a slot in the sheet metal.
