Komatsu PC150LC Questions

Looking at a Komatsu PC150LC, unsure of the year, and hours. I will get serial number from the guy tomorrow, I forgot to ask when I was on the phone with him today. story is, he bought the machine from the original owners who were actively using it in the Bush. They suspected the motor blew up, but in fact it was the turbo that had went and puked oil all over. It wasn’t used after the turbo went, they just dragged it out of the Bush with the processor/harvested head still on it. that’s how the current owner bought the machine, but he took the Processor head off to haul it home and then figured that the engine was fine. It was the turbo that was the problem, so he replaced the turbo and it runs just fine now. He has a sandblasting and painting business so he’s been using it to move heavy items around and that’s about it. It has no bucket, no wishbone links, no bucket cylinder. Comes with the forestry head, and a Lokomatic 90 controller in the cab. He took a video and sent it to me of the machine running, driving and it appears to run and operate well, no smoke, engine sounds strong with no labouring. price is in my range, but unsure how difficult it would be to find a cylinder and parts needed to use it in the dirt.

Looks like an early Dash 6. Komatsu went to using the four cylinder Cummins clone instead of the six cylinder S6D95 engine which had far better horsepower and torque. Also looks like you have the short stick to go with all that. Need to know a serial number to find out if the machine is gray market or built for North America. The only 150s I know of on the West Coast were gray as Komatsu switched up production and didn't build them for here. You might be able to find the bucket linkages and cylinder from one of the wrecking yard people. There is a big one in New York. We have Fraley Tractor in Wenatchee, Washington who is always taking that kind of stuff in. How many hours are on the machine?

After numerous attempts at contacting the owner they haven’t gotten back to me, I’m guessing it’s sold.
