VERY SLOW HYDRAULIC FUNCTIONS EXCEPT SWING .( CODES E224 E227 ) any way to bypass contoller and speed up all functions without installing new expensive controller

I believe you machine to be gray market but provide a serial number so that can be checked. Does the engine in your machine have a single valve cover on the engine or six individual ones? Before you do anything else, check the easy stuff. Air filters, fuel filters, fuel strainer in the banjo bolt. The fault codes are abnormality in front pump pressure sensor and abnormality in engine speed sensor. Problem is with the speed sensor first. The pressure sensor won't do anything for pump performance. Check the oil level in the damper case first. If it is overfull, you will need to pull the pump and put a new input seal in the pump and a new rear main seal in the engine. To test the speed sensor, use an ohm meter. There should be no continuity from the harness connector to the metal on the sensor. There should be a little bit of resistance between the two lugs in the harness connector. A failed sensor will have either shorted on the two lugs or on the lugs to the metal case. The other failure is no continuity between the lugs. Not many people would know how to remove the controller and make the machine work right.

Okay, you can bypass the controller. To bypass the controller, you can turn the "Pump control Override switch" as below image. But .........after you have bypassed the controller the working speed is still slow as before!! You should do the work as John said above. @John C. : I'm afraid this disease is difficult! It is very likely that it is stuck, clogged somewhere in the main control valve. Note that: very low hydraulic function EXCEPT SWING.

John , serial # K30168 i REPLACED SPEED SENSOR- CHECKED OHMS (GOOD) CHECKED OHMS AT C16 (GOOD) SAID DEFECTIVE CONTROLLER !! CHECKED VOLTAGE ON C08(GOOD)CHECKED VOLTAGE ONC03(GOOD) AGAIN SAID CONTROLLER DEFECTIVE !! THERE ARE NO 7834-24-2005 (MY MACHINE )CONTROLLERS OUT THERE !! THATS WHY I'AM TRYING TO BY PASS AND PUT IN HIGH MODE

JOHN ALSO TRYED TVC PROLIX SWITCH ( NO CHANGE) ALSO CHECKED ALL FUSES ( GOOD) SWING BRAKE SWITCH ( GOOD)

JOHN , ANY WAY TO JUST HOT WIRE THE CONTROLLER ?

It has the Cummins clone engine in it. You won't have the strainer in the banjo bolt. You have an inline filter that looks like the gas filters they we used to put in cars. Take it out and blow air through it backwards. If you get bunch of junk you should probably replace it with one from a Komatsu dealer. The original little canisters had a brass screen inside and not a paper filter. Any water in the system and the paper swells and restricts the fuel flow. Sounds like you have a grasp of the system. If you want to max out the pump, just unhook the TVC. That will overload the engine but you will then know if the problem is the computer or something else.

unhooked TVC no change at all

Your problem is more than likely not the computer then. I'm not saying it can't be an additional problem. We had plenty of issues with those machines. Compensators, LS valve and the PC valves all had issues as the machines aged. I have a book for the smaller machines but the PC150-6 was a special size. It has its own pump and hydraulic valve and is definitely different than the PC200 and in most cases is different than the PC120-6 series of machines. Do you have a book for your machine.

    yes , I have a service manual .

had TVC valve completely apart and found two different size springs , ordered two new ones and installed also took LS valve apart and seems okay

I had to go back to one of my old books on the smaller machines. Your machine should not have a TVC valve controlling the pump. It is called the LS-EPC valve. Basically it controls pilot pressure going into the fitting at the end of LS valve cartridge on the side of the pump. On the PC200-6 machines the usual problems were in the PC valve. Can you post a photo of the pump on here. On the smaller machines the PC valve was at the bottom of the main control valve. On the PC200 machines the PC valve was a cartridge on the side of the pump. LS pressure from the main control valve comes into that acorn nut and down through the cartridge. This is where things got dicey. That LS oil is from the compensators in the main control valve for each function. If the seals in one of the compensators leaked, the LS pressure leaked off back to tank so the LS pressure at the pump would not see a difference between function pressure from the valve and pump outlet pressure. You can check that by putting gauges in the pump outlet and the LS pressure circuits. You should see about 300 PSI difference when a function is operated.

okay I'll check the LS pressures , also when TVC valve was apart there is a little lever in there that moves back an forth - it seemed free but could that be why its not up shifting the speed of hydraulics

I received a new years present last night and see that there are some differences in the pump on that model of machine. Yours has a TVC mounted on the pump. The PC120 series and PC200 series machines did not have that. I'll have to do some study on the pump and electronic systems to figure the possibilities of your problem. How many hours do you have on the machine? When was the last time hydraulic filters and oil were changed. Has the hydraulic strainer in the tank been removed and checked?

  15. #15bruce schwope2021-12-31 15:17

unfortunately hour meter quit a while back ,probably around 7100 !! we change oil - fuel - air around 300 hrs ( hydraulic filter changed and strainer cleaned about 300 hrs ago ) TVC IS MOUNTED ON SIDE OF PUMP ANPULLED CONNECTOR OFF AN RAN - STILL NO CHANGE . THIS MACHINE DID SAME THING ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND AT THAT TIME PULLED AL 4 CONNECTORS OFF COMTROLLER -DISCONNECTED BATTERIES , HOOKED EVERYTHING BACK UP AND WAS FINE UNTIL NOW !! WHEN THIS STARTED MACHINE STARTED UPSHIFTING AND DOWNSHIFTING TRACK SPEEDS ON ITS OWN , THEN HYDRAULIC SPEEDS UP AN DOWN THEN JUST WENT INTO VERY VERY SLOW MODE ON ALL FUNCTIONS EXCEPT SWING ( WHICH SEEMS A BUT HAIR SLOW BUT USABLE ) THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY !!

Sorry to have taken so long to get back to this thread and hopefully you have found a way to make it work again. If so, could you let us know what you found. If not could you let us know what you have done so far. It has been my experience that when the computers go bad, they will let you know with a fault code.

Finally got hydraulics working up to speed but now having problems with travel speeds , none of the 3 modes change speed !! Starts off really fast an about 20' slows down to where it should be . T hen while tracking if you start to swing to the left track speed goes real fast until you let off on swing !! Still showing codes E224-E227-233 CHECHED what manual said and looks like computer or TVC solenoid .
