The engine stop solenoid stopped working but the new one from komatsu is bigger in all round size and appears not to fit in the tight space,the engine is a cummins 4b and they are supplying the same solenoid as komatsu but neither can help with fitting problems.anyone come across this problem?
I had to replace the stop solenoid on my Dodge with the 6BT, the replacement was larger and came as a kit with a different mounting bracket. Methinks you need the new style mounting bracket.
Ask your Komatsu dealer look up PSN FN03026A. This document addresses interference problems when installing the new 2" fuel shut-off solenoid.
