I have a 1999 D37P-5 with 3700 hours on it, which I've had for about 5 months. Recently it's started developing a sporadic problem of stalling, typically under load. The motor will suddenly bog down, much like its starving for fuel. Once it starts, I have to stop the machine and decrease the engine speed and give it maybe 20-30 seconds and then you been throttle back up and continue working. It doesn't usually happen until the machine has been running for about 20 min and as time goes on, it will increase slowly in frequency. We recently replaced all the fuel lines, completely flushed the tank, added a 24V electrical fuel pump up by the engine to make priming easier and then lastly added a second filter with a water separator by the tank. Anyone have any ideas?
By chance did u remove the banjo bolt at the supply pump.. the connection below the hand primer? It has a filter screen.. That’s assuming you have an “inline” pump.. Good luck
Have you checked the fuel cap , little vent to allow air in . Most noticeable when the tank is full of fuel if its blocked . Yeah , the banjo filter , your system may not have been standard before you started work on it . A service manual may not list the filter to be serviced because it been added . One other thread about this couple of years ago , turned out the banjo filter was blocked .
