So I've purchased a new KX91-3ss hydraulic pump, to replace the leaky old one. I'll have to remove simple items like exhaust and odds & ends, but there isn't a whole lot of room in there. Is it absolutely required to remove the counterweights to get this replaced, or is there a good old fashion backwoods way? Anyone partake in a pump replacement? TIA
I don't know if there are many KX91 owners on the forum but I think it may require removal of the counterweight if there just isn't enough room. The hydraulic pump isn't a regular maintenance item that needs to be removed so it's not as important to make it easily accessible. There may be other things that have to be removed to get better access other than the counterweight. Some pics. of the pump may help to show what you're up against.
