Getting this code, LA00L3, fan not reversing, on my 8k hour WA270-7, s/n 81055. Standing by the fan, while idling, every so often, I get a knocking sound when the rpms change on the fan. @$3800 for a motor assembly, I'd really like to know more.
Have a look at the fan hub and see if any dirt has accumulated on it. I have had something similar happen and that's all that is was. Good luck and I hope that is what it is.
