Hi, Newbie to the forum but hoping you are all helpful in here I have a 2003 model NH LB110 with 5500hrs. Bought it secondhand 18mths ago. When first started the transmission seems ok, but when up to operating temp. it hesitates and clunks harshly from F to R and also somewhat between gears. Also seems very tired in the torque converter and slushy up the road. Have seen a trans temp light on occasion and engine sometimes runs on the hot side. Uphill it seems to make hard work of it. NH agent in Adelaide (Small shed, 2 mechanics) reckons oil pressures test out on the low side of normal but still within acceptable range. I am suspicious of a modulation problem in that it is not engaging the clutches smoothly and probably a tired converter. Oil getting hot in trans as a result and passing on to the coolant through cooler below the bottom radiator tank. Has anyone out there had anything remotely similar for me to go on please? Thanks in advance.
is it the powershift box , if so its the same as in the case 590 super r i had similar problems with temp and being cluncky , it also was reluctant to go in reverse when cold the circlip had came off the clutch packs and it ended up cost £5000 sterling to fix
