In the market for a long front ,would like 60' reach prefer John Deere. any speical tricks to running one,any horror stories of breaking the boom or stick.
You need to treat them with a bit of respect. Its not hard to work out that there are things you DONT do, that you might be in the habit of on a 20t exc, like side swiping Being longer they are not as strong and yes they will and do crack. Not the mount for a newbie or cowboy operator. You might find this intresting if you havent seen it.
I call it the ratios are different. The boom and arm ratio(how much you pull on the sticks). It is a different beast. Watch the swing if your extented out,and watch when you reach all the way out with a loaded bucket. Ran a cat324 loved it then a Kabelco same size didn't like it. Now have a Case 240 I think same size (Junk). Very weak compaired to the CAT.
