I have a old dump truck that has had lots of parts swapped before i brought it. Pretty sure it has older rockwell axles 70-80 year ish 2 axles in a 1970 dump truck. The front Axle has a power divider on the upper right side. passenger side has one line running to it and small round brake can almost looking part on it. That has rubber on inside that fills with air and pushes on flat metal plate attached to a rod going inside the rear. only part number i could find (234433). It leaks air very bad. need a new part. can anyone give me a little info or a hint where i can buy this part or how to fix it ?

First question is the axle housing round or square? Second Q is there a two speed air switch on the dash somewhere. I doubt on a truck that old it has a locker but it could, more than likely it's a Eaton two speed. Eaton had round housings in those years something like a DS380, Rockwell had square or rectangle housings. A few pics would help. Truck Shop

Almost sounds like a SSHD or SQHD, the fore runner of later Rockwell. A photo would help. Eaton Axle were pretty specific styles, the air chamber power divider shift mechanism was pretty common on the older Rockwell lines. In a IHC it could be corporate axles from them as they had their own breed of mechanism, bad for shearing ring gear rivets and exploding side differential gears. As far as the air chamber they used common steer axle sized diaphragms available at any truck supply.

If you need parts look at general truck parts. The rebuild shop I use says they have everything. https://www.generaltruckparts.com/
