I recently changed conrod bearings on my 401 V6 Benz engine. Surprisingly oil pressure couldn’t rise above 45 and the engine knocked before it could drive far. Repeated attempts to fit new rings and conrod standardization did not solve the problem. The crankshaft is on standard and a check on it revels that it is a bit worn but on one journal. Do you think fitting of a new crankshaft would solve the problem?
