does any one have in info on where to get a 2 speed drive motor or parts to rebuild one. New holland says they are obsolete. You can get a rebuild kit form them for 1200 dollars which will be last resort. It’s a Eaton pump but hyd. Shop can’t do anything with the numbers

Here's reman motor. I got a motor for my skid steer from them. Very well packaged and they seemed very good to deal with. https://www.loaderpartssource.com/n...and-lx885-skid-steer-drive-motor-2-speed.html

Awesome. Thanks. I just ordered one. Guess it’s not much different than the rebuild kit except they carry the liability

Hydrostat motors are fairly complex and it is imperative to be surgically clean and everything assembled correctly.

Make sure everything is spotless and follow the OEM recommendations for bleeding the system following a motor replacement. You don't just fill it with oil and start it up hoping it will be OK.

Yes this is true. I pulled it apart after a complaint of no drive on that side. Check for pump output pressure. It was hard to tell what all was missing from the service manual but the face on the slippers still looked good the edges were a little beat up but if you laid a straight edge across the top of the housing with the rotating assembly and port plate in place the port plate was about a quarter inch below the straight edge so the fluid was going straight in and out the case drain. Someone had put a shaft in it then the problems started.
