Gents, Would appreciate any pointers on the travel system for Manitowoc M4000,we have a 1968 model,tired old crane,still doing a job but we have a problem that the crane won't "sprag" and sometimes it won't travel at all. Would appreciate any advise or weblinks that could help us out. Thanks
Nick, Does engine pull down when trying to travel? If so travel lock could be engaging. "68" machine is pretty old- so questions: probably non vicon-correct? Air or manual controls? If air, are travel locks air or manual?, Are steering clutches air or manual? There are a bunch of combinations that the crane could be built with. If not vicon is it single torque or straight master clutch? First thing to check are main drive clutches for slipping whether manual or air. Get back to me
