Mack ch 613 with 64kh5104 rear diff, is there an internal seal that stops the carrier oil going into the main diff housing?

No wide open there is kind of a dam to hold some oil up there you fill that on the first fill the plug in the side cover until it runs out then fill the diff housing plug until it runs out from then on the oil slings to the top and is checked at the middle plug in the back of the diff housing

Thanks Jonas302, what is actually stopping the oil running into the diff casing below? I noticed some silicone on the casing bolts when I removed them.

There should be o-rings on the three (i think) bolts on the inside bottom that you take out that allows you to remove the rear end. This keeps oil in your top box different from your rear end housing oil.

Has any one had any luck with PDF manuals for Mack rears. I have a crdp and have not found anything.
