Metal Shaving in Gear Oil in Mustang MTL25

Changed my gear oil in the Travel Motors today on my 2006 Mustang MTL25 today. The passenger side didn't have any metal shavings in it but the driver side had a little. The machine tracks straight and has never gave me any fits just changing the oil for regular maintenance. I was wondering if this is normal to have some metal shavings, they were very very fine, no big chunks. Should I be worried and replace the travel motor to prevent the other one from failing.

No noise, grinding or whining noise on that side when traveling? Then you probably got there in time! The gear oil is actually the planetary gear oil, it's not supposed to be able to get from there into the actual drive motor. Planetary gears make fine metal particles, no chunks is GOOD!!! Keep changing it every 200 hours and you are being very nice to your machine.
