Hello, I'm wondering if anyone knows if this damage can be polished out or if a new drive has to be purchased. the swing drive has become very weak, the excavator turns slowly and there is no power in the swing
I don't think you would be able to polish out the marks as they look too deep but you you could try and polish it and maybe polish both faces of the geroller pack. Buy a genuine Eaton Charlyn seal kit and replace all the seals and try again. You will not be able to buy a new unit direct from Eaton/Danfoss, you would have to purchase from machine manufacturer or source one from China.
