How much max gradeability can provided by volvo and cat grader? Is there any standard for it?
Gradeability Most are around 22 degrees. This factor is the ability to also stop with out skidding the tires going down hill. They can climb steeper grades but the issue is if you have to stop can the machine hold it's own weight, tires and ground conditions can make or break this also. The lubrication angle is a factor for engine and trans also, some are tested to over 40 degrees tilt which is way greater than most will ever see. Side sloping is at around 21 degrees 2.5:1 is a safe limit, with a good hand 28 degrees at 2:1. A 3:1 is about the max for a straight frame. There is so many factors that go into these questions.
OK thank you for Gradeability. Now i am little confuse in grading how much material one grader grade in single stroke? because i am stuck in power calculation. I calculate for gradebility and max power to start vehicle its come to 30 hp for our vehicle weight 6500 kg. but now how to add that power required to grade material in single stroke? in power calculation.
