I have a Moxy MT36 dump truck that my transmission is filling up with hydraulic fluid and won't shift. If we evacuate the fluid, then it will shift. How is the hydraulic fluid getting into the transmission?
Hi Dewone, as far as I know the MT 36 was equipped with a large Komatsu box. However I'm absolutely not an expert on this. I'd expect a leakage from PTO pumps to steering, brakes, bin cylinders etc. Or - not sure about - actuation of retarder. Might have been done with hydraulic pressure from PTO pumps. Not shifting: Hmmm, not sure about. With extremely too much oil in tranny the internal losses might go up, so shift rpm no more reached? Just an idea.
Hey did you figure out your problem? I am having the same problem with the same model truck. Thanks
