Rebuilding a crossing on a guys farm track that got washed out in heavy rain. Putting a couple more culverts in above the existing one to handle the extra flow when it rains, plus unblocked the original culvert which should help! Pic 2, The trusty old 613 and Sumitomo SH120 with pumice pit in the background. Pic 3, Also had two main water lines (4" PVC and 2" alkathene) running through that got taken out, just got them jimmy'd up till I get some dirt back in there. In pic 4 you can see the tide mark from the water going over the top of the crossing, could of got the boat out on that haha. Pic 5, the hole that scoured out was up to 2 meters deep in places.
Some more pics, nearly done now but the oil cooler on the digger decided to spring a leak
You have done a great job. Its looking great here. thanks for sharing. hrdc job bank
What size is the culvert you are putting in?
The original culvert was 350mm and I added two more 350mm culverts above that (thats what the guy wanted) to take the extra flow when it rains. The old one probably would have handled it but it was half blocked!
A trenching job with a view that I did for a guy.
That is some beautiful country you work in!
wow at the view
