I have a 1999 Sterling l7500 and the spindle threads have striped where the nut sits so the previous owner had about 4 washers stacked behind the nut so the nut is on the threads. We had the truck inspected and they found this issue ive been told you cant re thread it so we have been looking for a new/used (of course used who has new parts) spindle and its proving to be a challenge so we started looking for an other steering axle the measure from outside to outside of block where spring sits is 38" but no one is able to tell me what other axle will fit under the truck the axle is a sifco or siftco it was made by ford.
