Have a friend that is an independant mechanic and Cat hasn't been very helpful. When he connect his Com AdapterII to the dozer computer it will work for a while if he holds it still just right.He has replaced the cables and it still does the same thing.He thinks it might be in the Com AdapterII.Does anyone know where he might get his checked out or a used one? He has a lot of stuff on his laptop ,but can't use it because can't get the adapter to work.He has a job coming up right a way on a dozer and needs something to flash the computer.Any help would be great. University Peoria, IL 61615 Toll-Free 1-800-328-7287 e-mail [email protected] There is a slew of documentation needed but I'm sure if he calls the Toll-Free number they could e-mail something to him. The Comms Adapter II is included on a list of tools for which flat rate repair pricing is available. Depending on the exact part number the price listed is around $275. My Tool Guide is 2011 so prices will no doubt have changed since then.
