Hey guru's. We've been having a bit of trouble with either bad fuel or fuel filters on our 27g's. We have the issue identified for the most part, but I am looking for some feedback on solutions. Basically we want to put a fuel filtration setup on our mobile tank that we take to our job sites. The fuel pump will pump around 10-20 GPM. We want to get the cleanest fuel we can while not completely hamstringing our pump and having it take a half hour to fuel the machines. What i've found: http://www.donaldson.com/en/bulk/literature/072973.pdf Page 8, Part# P568583 2xFilters 1.5" SAE 125 gpm/473 lpm While I have your eyes on this particular topic, we have been talking about putting filters on our tanks that sit in the back of our work pickups. However we really have not had as many issues with engine filters when the fuel is coming out of our pickup tanks. Would this be worth considering? Can't go wrong with Donaldson, in my opinion. Way back before they started changing diesel fuel, I used Zinga hydraulic filter heads with their "Aquazorb" spin-ons, trapped the water out of the fuel and would literally shut off when they had absorbed as much water as they could hold. With the advent of ultra low sulfur diesel you probably need a 3 or maybe even 2 micron filter.
