New Holland LS180..Need to know years when they were made

Please help a forum newbie... I'm going to take a look at a New Holland LS180 in a couple of days that is for sale. The owner is in another state but the person he left it with to sell says he thinks it's a little over one year old. I thought the LS series was superceded by the L series about 3 years ago. I'm actually a little more interested in the hours and the condition/features of the unit than exactly how old it is...but knowing it's actually 3+ years old would be a good bargaining chip. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

get serial # , and go to the new holland home site, it could be 5 or 6 years old

Take a look at the serial number. If it was made in the last few years you can tell by the second digit in the s/n. example: N7M450123 would be a 2007 N9M489987 would be 2009. If it has a s/n like LS180 239476 it is older than three years old. The new skids have the s/n plate on the outside of the cab near the left fender. The old ones are inside the cab near where your right knee would be, if in operating seat. Hope that helps.

Thanks, folks, the info is much appreciated. I'm planning on going to take a look at the equipment tomorrow. Supposedly it has about 2200 hours on it and the guy is asking $13.5K...which seems pretty pricey to me, off-hand, for a unit that is at the very least 3-4 years old with those hours on it. Supposedly it also has HF hyd...don't know about 2-speed or other nice stuff. A recent Ritchie Bros. auction in this area saw two 1100 hour-ish Bobcat S220's go for $11K apiece. They had HF but no 2-sp nor enclosed cabs. (They had also been recently repainted...which kinda made me wonder WTH was up with that given their relatively low hours.) Thanks again!
