Well, finally broke down and bought a heavy truck...well medium duty. 09 FL (single axel) m2 106 with hydraulic breaks and a 12000 lbs " kwick load" roll off system including flat deck. Bought from equip rental that used it for deliveries. ... Should have push harder to buy saftied etc...as they claim that they looked after their stuff and it was all in good working shape ...haha... Bought it from a distance and was too deep into deal to walk away. Tried to do due diligence.......anyways So far nothing major...they said it was all setup with break controller to pull trailers with electric breaks....it has a flat 4 wire connection. No visible screw hole in cab where a control would have been hung....but appears truck originally had round 7 plug and there is a junction box that has 7 wires near back of truck. Does Freightliner do any prewiring like they do in Pickups for trailer wiring and break controller? thxs for your time.
Any help from FL guys would be appreciated!
not sure if they offer it pre wired or not but i wired my l9000 to use electric trailer brakes and in all honesty they are real simple to wire up all you need is power ground stop light signal and the wire for the brake. what i would do is trace the old wiring to locate where everything is at and go from there.
