We have a terex screen machine with a c3.4b cat engine in it, well we had problems with the common rail fuel pressure relief, im purdy sure it got clogged, and the next time boss tried to crank it, it turned over, started to crank, made a clunk and quit, i puuled injectors and one i could put air pressure to it and it would spray out the end, so we replaced injectors and now we have alot of white smoke with almost crank or sputters over for a few secs. Any and all help will b greatly appreciated
If you are looking for technical information on this engine a Serial Number would be a great help. Without checking too much in depth the fuel system is probably broadly similar to a Cat Skid Steer loader and on this forum there are literally dozens of threads regarding fuel system problems. Those fuel systems like clean fuel, especially the expensive bits (HP pump, injectors, etc) at the engine end. So keeping the filters changed regularly and the entire fuel system as clean as you can keep it (does anyone ever drain water & sediment from the fuel tank.?) will be a help in the long run unless you have a bottomless cheque book........
