Odd conveyor type setup used to load coal into boxcars

This odd conveyor type device was used to load coal into boxcars. Man that must have been dusty! Seen at the Atlas Mine, now a historical site, in East Coulee Alberta Canada. This mine operated into the late 1970s (a regular operating museum) and they were still loading boxcars, not just hopper cars, at that late date.
