Oils Whats the difference

Back on oils . Cat DEO 15w40 and Mobil MX15w40 whats the difference , both come out of the same shed anyone know the make up or are they just sold in different coloured drums . Interested !!

    From what I can work out, they are the same oil, ie. CI-4, CH-4. We were using DEO but had to step up to DEO ULS after we bought a truck with a DD15 which requires CJ-4, CI-4 Plus , which is Mobil MX ESP. Whereabouts in OZ are you?... I can buy Cat oil cheaper than Mobil here.

    Same oil, price just depends on how much volume you purchase.
