old dozer “EIMCO

trombeur · 2024-06-23 13:28

Hi, would any user friends have photos or information about the brand of EIMCO self-propelled crawler tractors? I think they were in production until the Vietnam War in 1965 or were replaced by the famous Caterpillars. Do you know anything about them, thanks?

They are an odd looking beast, with not much protection for the man in the drivers seat. But I have to ask....aren't all dozers self propelled? What causes the 'self propelled' highlighted with these?

They are old machines, they were used by the army and then replaced by the famous Caterpillars in production until the 1960s. There is no information on the internet about the manufacturer, perhaps they built machines for tunnels, tunnels and mines, if any user friends had information on the brand, thanks Eimco These images are similar to the ones you’ll see in the “Classic Vintage Crawlers and Dozers, Volume 2″ book. For the 50s Hough & Eimco had rear engine crawlers loader too bad didn't catch on for another 30 years. Reading about the dozers in Vietnam enemies just had to aim between headlights almost guaranteed operator kill I think that could have been corrected with some plate around? But I don't have a degree or the brains figure something that simple out

Not a lot of protection but visibility would be awesome.
