Hi can anyone help, or can I help anyone!!!!!!!! a very dear friend has a Massey 350 excavator (swing shovel) that is in need of much work and TLC or rather than it go to the scrap man would anyone be interested in rehoming it for at least the scrap value for spares if they already have and require spares. it is the smaller brother to the 450 version and I think weighs in at about 11 tonne. it was working ok, although very very tired and worn, then while trying to move it to another area of the farm it blew a track motor. the other track motor is not too healthy either. it is virtually immobile now, however many of the parts are working ok Perkins Engine good No leaks from Rams Hyd Pump seemed to work fine, machine still had plenty of power. if anyone has any suggestions or would like more information please let me know, machine is located in Devon.
Its probably a bit old now for there to be much demand for parts. Due to the value of the machine a breaker would not get much for any parts if someone was looking for them. How much does he want for it?
Hi thankyou for the reply. to be honest my friend was hoping it would go to good home where either it could be used as a donor machine for restoration parts for another machine or better still somebody wanting to restore it. with regard to price for this machine we would like scrap value at approx. £1650 to be honest. this is the price offered by a local scrap dealer.
