anybody remember how these valves are sealed against a parent valve? i was going to machine a power beyond adaptor and not sure if it should have a flat face or a projection to seal from one side to the other like a double ended power beyond. all the ports have a recess like i could use a code 61 square ring? there are 3 ports to seal against each other and the valve bolts face to face with parent valve. this stuff predates my existence so i have no clue how they were attached and the voac atlas copco valve was canceled after parker bought them.
Just O-rings and squish.
ok so no backer just size a o-ring or quad ring to fit od of recess and double the depth plus some crush thickness. boggles my brain to seal 4500psi like that.
I understand what you’re thinking and agree it’s mind boggling but think of how many valve blocks and sections are just squished with o-rings. Key is making sure there is enough o-ring. These days, I have been using the encapsulated viton o-rings but are unnecessary.
