my friend acquired this lovely loader we think its a 124. it has a ih264 gas motor . its having a lot of trouble shifting and staying in gear. where do you check the trans fluid in this, ive looked all over the web very little info on these. I would love to get a repair manual too.ill try to get pics tomorrow thanks........
This place http://www.tractorparts.com/misc.htm has copies of manuals. Not cheap, but well worth the cost. There should be a dipstick on the left side of the transmission to check the fluid, it's supposed to have ATF in it. There are several threads about these old Trojans here on this forum.. Where abouts in NY are you?
ill look for a dipstick. I couldn't find one. this has been a problem loader from the get go. when someone jerry rigged anything they touched its hard to do stuff rite again. im in central square,ny.. ill try to get pics up. the loader doesn't run bad but it wont dig or dump well at all. someone put a clam bucket off a different model on in and didn't get the geometry right. ill look into manual also thanks
