not me
What's going on there? Was he trying to set a manhole?
There is that man in the orange shirt again, inspecting the damage.
dam that track is loose... is this in Visaila?
green side is still up..... can't be that bad yet..
Probably something to do with the whole weight of the hoe driving the idler back? Easy fix, boom down to keep from walking out of the track then stick in as you track forward. I do like the disclaimer right off the bat "notme!"
Easier fix, push down on counterweight with other ho...
Aaah come on people, there is a long reach boom hanging off that thing even I may have tipped it, I say may
There is no back fill blade to steady the ship
ok...here is what was going on...i'm digging with a 600, about 18' deep, pulling a shield for a 36" storm pipe, rcp. as i spoiled the hoe your looking at was to move the dirt around to work off of. we had a laborer for a foreman and the operator obviously didnt plan his steps out very well..he should have placed the dirt lower and closer to the ditch so he would be able to reach the center of the trench in a safe manner. as i dug i noticed what he was doing and figured this is what would happen as he swung the pipe out to lay it. i did warn the pipe layers to get out of the way, which they did, and then we enjoyed the show ..he sucked the pipe back in,changed his pants then prepped the area the way he should have in the first place..should i have said something before hand? perhaps, but when your working with some pretty arrogant people, sometimes lessons learned the hard way are the best teachers
So very true. While i would like to see a coworker of mine bury himself i know if i dont stop him from doing something stupid its going to fall back on me. Nothing like babysitting someone twice my age and trying to get some work done.
Why not help the guy out rather than watch him get into a problem. What are guys worried about?..It happens here in uk too same attitude lets watch the guy make a balls up and take the **** rather then help him everyone needs a little help now and then, there is not a guy anywhere that knows it all.
I see the green truck, did you go home?
From what I read, advice was offered but not taken. What can you do? Obviously if it compromises safety you make a big deal out of it.
