My only caution is to avoid the mono tube that is sometimes found on the 924G as pictured. Often times tremendous torque is exerted on the loader frame when using the corner of your bucket. The arms seem to offer more resistance to cracks from over torque. Also, around here the resale is much lower for the mono tube types than the conventional design.

Il mio era Dubbio infatti la forma del braccio, la Casella di tipo escavatore, Che tipo di consiglio di Portare armi per Gli Sforzi Migliori, grazie Question What do you think of the box-arm 988h type excavator boom, too weak to efforts to twisting, better conventional Z?

Caterpillar interrotto il braccio scatola qualche tempo fa. Che combinati con i rapporti sfavorevoli che ho sentito e qualche esperienza personale mi dice che sarebbe rimasto con la disposizione convenzionale Z che ha lavorato per anni. Caterpillar discontinued the box arm sometime ago. That combined with unfavorable reports I have heard and some personal experience tells me I would stay with the conventional Z arrangement that has worked for years.

Sorry that is not 100% correct. The 2 models with the box boom were/are the 988 & the 992. The 992 was first given a box boom when the 992G replaced the 992D in 1997. Initially the box boom was a single-piece cast steel component. When the 992G was replaced by the 992K the boom became a combination of castings and steel fabrications but it is still a box structure, and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future AFAIK. http://www.cat.com/en_US/products/new/equipment/wheel-loaders/large-wheel-loaders/18266768.html The 988 was first given a box boom when the 988G replaced the 988F Series II around 1999. The box boom was always a fabricated structure reinforced with castings. The exact same Part Number of boom was continued when the 988H replaced the 988G somewhere around 2005. When the next new model (988K) was released in mid-2013 the box boom was replaced by a "conventional" H-frame. http://www.cat.com/en_MX/products/new/equipment/wheel-loaders/large-wheel-loaders/17770689.html http://www.cat.com/en_US/products/new/equipment/wheel-loaders/large-wheel-loaders/18438276.html
